3 Meals out of a whole chicken

Did you know that you can get multiple meals out of one whole chicken? We suggest that the first meal of them is the roasted chicken and that can be accomplished in your oven, on the grill or even in the turkey fryer. Once you have finished up your first meal, go ahead and ensure that you reserve some of the chicken before putting on the table. Meal #2 can be a meal that uses some of the reserved chicken, so ideas could be chicken salad to make sandwiches, or chicken and rice, really the second meal can be anything that you add some of the chicken to. With the carcass of the the chicken you will make a soup or bone stock. We usually take the carcass and add water to cover. Boil down the carcass until you have a good stock. We usually at this time take out the carcass and let cool some before picking all the pieces of chicken completely off it. Your Meal #3 will be a chicken noodle soup. Using the stock, chicken, and some added vegetables prepare a tasty soup. You can cook some noodles and make it a noodle soup, but we recommend adding the noodle to the soup right before eating, as the noodles soak up all the stock otherwise.
